About Sheila Harris
I’m licensed in Washington State as an acupuncturist. I’ve retired my license as a massage practitioner, although it’s still included in my scope of practice as an acupuncturist. I received my Master’s Certificate from Middleway Acupuncture Institute, which was appropriate given my personal motto is “all things in moderation” . I love learning; the body, the brain, and how acupuncture acts as first-line of healthcare. To constantly find the best options for my patients, I’ve studied with the Neuro-Acupuncture Institute in Albuquerque, NM, specializing in stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s and MS. On-going studies with Dr. Anthony Lombardi in the use of electrical stimulation is providing over-the-top tools for muscular disorders, to resolve pain quickly and efficiently. A workshop in Dr. Tan’s Balance Method has become a modality for treating multiple patients at one time for community style acupuncture.
Working closely with local doctors, chiropractors, and physical therapists, I’m able to provide the most comprehensive treatments possible. With over 25 years’ experience in injury treatment, I integrate multiple modalities for resolution of chronic pain issues.
For fun, spending time outdoors on our sailboat, sea kayaking, skiing, and gardening, provides my own self-care. Pursuing acupuncture is part of my retirement plan; practicing this astonishing medicine for relief work at home and abroad.
